Where is the Chili Cook Off?

Chili Cook-off Teams will be located in the heart of the Historic Strand District in Galveston, TX. The Main Information Booth will be located at 23rd & Strand.

Do I have to buy a ticket to go to the festival?

The festival is free to the public. If you wish to sample chili you may purchase a ticket in advance or on the day of the event. Visitors to the festival will also be able to purchase a ticket to the Beer Fest Tasting Event in advance.

How do I sample Chili?

To sample Chili from the Cook Teams a ticket must be purchased in advanced or day of at the Main Information Booth in Saengerfest Park located at 23rd and Strand

How do I sample Beer?

A ticket will be needed to enter the Beer Fest Tasting Event. You may purchase a ticket in advance or day of at the entrance to the Beer Fest. Location TBD.

What other events happen during Chili Quest?

There will be a Beer Fest Craft Beer Tasting, Margarita Making Contest, Jalapeno Eating Contest, Washers Tournament Merchant Walk About, 5K Fun Run, live music, vendors and more!

Visit the Chili Quest page and you can register online or download the application.

Where can I park?

The City of Galveston has street parking with paid meters and there is a parking lot located at Harborside and 25th Street.

Is this a family friendly event?

Yes! Families are encouraged to bring the kids. Between the live music, chili cooking, Strand Merchant Walk About and Other Events there is sure to be something for everyone!
