When & Where is the Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest?

Saturday, January 17, 2015 Located in the heart of the Historic Strand District (Intersection of 23rd/Strand Street)

Do I need a ticket to go to the festival?

The festival itself is free to attend. Public Chili Sampling and Beer Fest tickets may be purchase in advance or day of at the Information Booth located at the corner of 23rd Street and Strand Street. (while tickets last)

When is the Public Chili Sampling?

Saturday, January 17, 2015 12-3pm

Where is the Public Chili Sampling?

Cook Teams will be located on 23rd Street from Harborside Drive to Mechanic Street and on Strand from 24th Street to 22nd Street.

How do I sample Chili?

To sample chili from the Cook Teams a Public Chili Sampling Ticket must be purchased in advanced or day of at the Main Information Booth in Saengerfest Park located at 23rd Street and Strand Street

When is the Beer Fest Public Beer Tasting?

Saturday, January17, 2015
VIP 12-4pm General Admission 1-4pm

Where is the Beer Fest held?

The Beer Fest is held at 2301 Strand Street in the Top Gallant Room, 2nd floor. There is elevator and staircase access with entrance located on Strand Street.

How do I attend the Beer Fest?

Tickets can be purchased in advanced or day of (while tickets last)

What other events happen during Chili Quest & Beer Fest?

There will be a Patron Margarita Making Contest, Jalapeno Eating Contest, Washer Pitching Tournament, Strand Merchant Walk About, 5K Fun Run, Live music, Vendors and More!

There are many hotels on the island to fit all tastes and budgets.

How do I register my Cook Team?

Visit the Chili Quest page and you can register online or download the application to print and submit by mail.

Where can I park?

The City of Galveston has street parking with paid meters and there are multiple parking lots located throughout the historic strand district.

Is this a family friendly event?

Yes! Families are encouraged to bring the kids. Between the Live Music, 5K/1K Fun Run Public Chili Sampling, Strand Merchant Walk About, Vendors, Jalapeno Eating Contest there is sure to be something for everyone!
