PROFESSIONAL TEAMS

Shrimp Gumbo Stroll : Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 am - 3 pm

Calling all Professional Chef’s! Think you have what it takes to be named the BEST SHRIMP GUMBO in Galveston? Chef’s of all skill levels are invited to participate in the 4th Annual Galveston Island Shrimp Festival Sept. 28, 2013. This years cook-off will feature 2 divisions; Amatuer Cook-Teams and Restaurant Chef’s Professional Teams.

PROFESSIONAL DIVISION (aka Restaurant Chef): Any and all restaurants are invited to participate in the Professional Division Shrimp Gumbo Cook-Off for a GRAND PRIZE of $1000! ALL Professional Teams are required to participate in the Shrimp Gumbo Cook-Off on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013. ALL amateur and professional teams will be serving gumbo on Saturday to Gumbo Stroll attendees who have a valid cup and wristband.

Professional teams will be allowed to sell dishes of their choice on Saturday! No other food vendors (excluding dessert vendors) will be allowed aside from participating professional teams.

Judging: Once again the public will be voting on their favorite professional teams gumbo to determine what restaurant has the BEST GUMBO and who wins the GRAND PRIZE of $1000, trophy and bragging rights for the next year!
