THE QUEST FOR THE BEST CHILI RETURNS TO GALVESTON ISLAND!
Who doesn't love HOT CHILI and COLD BEER? Yaga's Chili Quest and Beer Fest returns to Galveston Historic Strand District on Saturday, January 21, 2012, featuring a variety of locally crafted beers and over 80 chili cook-off teams. Visitors to the 3rd Annual Chili Quest will be able to sample chili from teams vying to be awarded the Best Chili on Galveston Island.
New to the event this year is the Homebrew Competition and Beer Fest vendors. Due to the growing craft beer scene we have invited those guys (and gals) who are hard at work concocting the next great brew to submit their ales to a panel of expert BrewMasters...who knows...maybe we'll find the next Saint Arnolds!
Other events include a Washer Pitching Tournament, Milagro Margarita Contest, Jalapeno Eating Contest, Chili Pepper Quick Step 5K Fun Run, and Strand Merchant Walk-About.
